Fix

Screenshots from private locations now reach the filmstrip

Browser monitors on a private location now show their screenshots in Yorker with no storage to set up. Update the agent to 1.0.2 to get them.

Browser monitors running on a private location did not show screenshots in Yorker. The monitor ran and reported its timings, but the filmstrip stayed empty, whether or not the agent had been given a storage bucket.

From agent 1.0.2, the agent sends each screenshot to Yorker over the outbound HTTPS connection it already uses for results. Yorker stores it alongside hosted screenshots, with the same retention, and it appears in the filmstrip. There is nothing to configure and no extra host to allow through a firewall.

Update the agent to pick this up:

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

Settings > Locations flags any agent still on an older release.

Keeping screenshots in your own storage

Screenshots are images of the pages the agent loads, so by default those images now leave your network. If they must stay in storage you control, set the ARTIFACT_S3_* variables described in the private locations guide. The agent then uploads to your bucket and sends no screenshots to Yorker. The filmstrip in Yorker stays empty for that location, and the screenshot links are included in the telemetry the agent sends to your own backend.
