What counts as a check run?
Each time Yorker executes a monitor from a single location counts as one run. A monitor running every 5 minutes from 3 locations generates 3 runs per cycle.
What are private locations?
Run Yorker monitors from behind your firewall on your own infrastructure. Deploy our Docker container, point it at your Yorker account, and monitor internal services. All results flow through the Yorker platform for storage, alerting, and OTLP forwarding.
Why are private location runs cheaper?
You provide the execution compute; we provide the platform — result storage, alerting, SLO tracking, anomaly detection, OTLP forwarding, and the full UI. The 50% discount reflects this cost split honestly.
Are HTTP checks really unlimited?
Yes. HTTP checks run on lightweight persistent infrastructure where the marginal cost per check is near zero. Fair use applies (500K hosted / 1M private per month).
What intelligence features are on the free tier?
The full OTel intelligence layer is free: anomaly detection (14-day baselines, per metric, per location), cross-monitor dependency intelligence, and OTel insight packs on every check — anomaly scores, third-party attribution, dependency signals, and screenshot URLs in every OTLP span. Correlation analysis and alert triage (which uses language models to reason over your check history) are paid-only.
